Is fibromyalgia a legit disease, or all psychological? Everyone i've ever met with this "illness" also has some type of psychological illness(es), i.e. Depression and anxiety. Coincidence? Ha! I'm not saying these people are faking symptoms. I think they do definitely feel pain, fatigue, whatever they claim. In addition, it's no doubt to me that there is a definite mind-body connection. In other words, people can physically make themselves feel ill..sometimes not even realizing that it has a psychological basis. What do you think? Is fibromyalgia really a physical ailment or plainly caused by psychological factors?

How do I get my doctor to prescribe narcotic pain meds for my very real chronic pain? I've fibromyalgia. It causes me to have severe chronic muscle and joint pain. Currently I'm taking narcotic pain medications, but with a warning from the doctor they may be discontinued at any time. I've found the pain medication to be a lifesaver and would be bedridden without it. Most doctors feel the same as my current doctor, so I don't know what to do at this point.

Fibromyalgia makes it hard to lose weight, help please? Im always sore and weak. I know i eat the wrong things sometimes and even lose motivation quite a bit. Im starting to figure out what it's that i need to eat. Its the energy and pain and fatigue that's hurting me. What am i supposed to do if i feel like crap all the time. Are people with this disorder lacking something that we need to have drive? I get depressed at times and im always exhausted. And even if I'll myself up to do the work, something seems to happen that either i get hurt or just plain too tired to work out or even be motivated with the eating. So sometimes i reach for comfort food. How do i stop this cycle. Im thirty-two and sick and tired of being sick and tired. I need hope.

Question for people with fibromyalgia? What kind of doctor do you see for treatment? I was seeing a rheumatologist but since I've moved the nearest rheumatolgist that takes my insurance is two hours away (each way).

What are some conditions you can get your medical marijuana card for in Oregon? I've a bad case of major depression along with some very bothersome pains/aches. I know that they don't issue it for mental problems, but I'm NOT interested in any SSRIs or any sort of pill unless its tylenol or something (I've had bad experiences with pills). I'm looking for something natural and inexpensive as I only have one part time job... Times are very rough.. I've tried marijuana before, it has elevated my rather low moods and has made me engaged in life. The pains become easier to deal with also! Can anyone help me on this?? Thank you.

I take three medications daily for depression, narcolepsy, and fibromyalgia. They're Celexa, Provigil,? And Cymbalta. They're helping. My problem is that I'm always feeing very overheated and I sweat a lot...this never used to be a problem for me. When everyone else is feeing comfortable, I'm sweating buckets.. On hot, humid days like today, I've to stay inside where it's cool or I'm more than just miserable, I feel physically ill. Does anyone else have this problem? Have you found anything that helps? Thanks for any advice that you can give me.
